The terminal accepts the key but does not open
What are possible causes?
- The installation of the terminal is faulty
- The terminal has a clutch defect or an electronic defect
- Connection cables between the components are defective
- For wall terminals - Incorrect wiring or defective electric lock
How can the error be narrowed down?
Check assembly
For most terminal types, special aspects must be taken into account during installation. Here is a selection of possible sources of error:
- the direction of the square (for DT210 and DT400, the driver lugs must be vertical)
- the wrong closing direction of the single corner lock used (recognizable by the fact that the door cannot be pulled into the lock without operating the handle)
- Incorrect or missing connection of the connection cable
- Screws tightened too tightly
Please check that the installation has been carried out correctly and make sure that the cables are not squashed.
IMPORTANT! If it is a wall terminal, please have an electrician check the wiring and the electric lock of the door!
Check connection cable for defects
Please check whether there are any visual defects. The function of the terminal may be impaired due to crushed or damaged cables.
Exclude clutch defect or electronic defect
Reprogram the terminal to ensure that the configuration is correct.
If the error persists, there is probably a hardware defect. In this case, only a replacement will help.
How do I get a replacement?
Please fill out the identification form for your terminal type as completely as possible and send it to our support team. With the help of the form, the appropriate replacement can be identified and sent to you.
Please note that the form for the mortise lock is absolutely necessary for DT400 and DT7xx.
