One of the most common problems in connection with guest cards that no longer work is a shifted time setting. This often occurs when batteries on terminals have been changed or if there has been a power failure and a wall reader, for example at the entrance door, no longer accepts key cards.
To check and set the time yourself, the following instructions are available:
You need: An MDU110 and a privileged personnel transponder (e.g. the general card of the manager or building technician)
Checking the time on the terminal:
- Select "Terminal Info" in the main menu and approach the terminal
- You should now find the "Terminal time" by scrolling the adjusting dial
Setting the time on the terminal:
- Check MDU (“handheld device”) time:
- Select MDU "Settings" > "Time"/"Date"
- Press Enter and adjust the time using the adjusting dial.
- Select "Terminal" > "Time" in the main menu and approach the terminal
- You will see the terminal time and MDU time on the display.
- Press Enter to transfer the MDU time.
- Briefly hold a privileged key (building technician or similar) to the terminal for authorization (terminal should beep once)
- Hold the MDU against the terminal again to complete the data transfer.
- The time should now be set.
