DG2 - Mounting variant

Mounting variant does not match

Error pattern

The error “Mounting variant does not match” occurs almost exclusively when synchronizing a newly purchased terminal with the current data from the software. The error message indicates that the so-called mounting variant, which was programmed into the terminal at the factory, does not match the mounting variant expected by the software.
In this case, it helps to program the current mounting variant onto the affected terminal and then perform the synchronization again.

Solution

  1. Download mounting variant
    1. Use the delivery note, the device name in the terminal info, or our quiz to find out which terminal type you have.
    2. Download the latest mounting variant using the download link provided.
    3. Right-click on the downloaded .zip file and select “Extract All.”
  2. Transfer to the MDU
    1. Connect the MDU to a PC.
    2. The file explorer will now open and display the MDU folders.
    3. Copy the downloaded and unzipped folder to “objects” > “terminals” on the MDU.
  3. Program the terminal
    1. Now program the appropriate mounting variant on the terminal. The mounting variant is always displayed on the MDU with the name of the terminal type followed by the abbreviation “MV” (for mounting variant).
    2. Now synchronize the terminal with the data from the software.
