Generation error (Error 1.1)

What are generations good for?
A transponder is always assigned to a generation or issue date when it is issued. This ensures that only the latest transponder is accepted.

In DG2, the generation error manifests itself with 1x long beep and 1x short beep (error 1.1).

The error indicates that there is at least one other key with a more recent issue date.

Causes for guest keys

With guest keys, the error often occurs with bookings where more than one key is issued. If each of the required keys is created as a new check-in or replacement key instead of a duplicate of the first key, only the last key issued will work.

To rectify the error, it is sufficient to reissue the guest keys correctly.

Causes for personal keys

With personal keys, this can usually only occur if two keys with the same transponder ID have been issued.

Therefore, it should be ensured that only one key is issued per transponder identifier.
