How do I deal with lost transponders?

You should first encode a replacement key for the lost transponder. (Caution! For staff keys, make sure you use the correct personnel number and transponder identifier; for guest keys, make sure you have the correct room number!).

To do this, use the matching software:

  • For staff keys
    • DG1: Personnel software
    • DG2: Dialock 2 websurface
  • For guest keys
    • DG1: Hotel/Clinic or KeyWriter
    • DG2: KeyWriter

Once the new replacement transponder has been created, it must be held in front of each authorized door. This overwrites the lost transponder at each door and renders it invalid. If you are unsure, you should hold the transponder in front of each door.

Now you have invalidated the lost transponder and have an exact copy of the lost transponder.

You can now either hand it back to the person or encode it again with different data.

The lost transponder had general access rights. Do I really have to present the new replacement key to every terminal?

Unfortunately, yes. As most doors are offline doors, they are not automatically informed when a new key is issued in the software. Each terminal must therefore be actively informed as soon as a key with a new issue date or a newer generation exists.

I do not know the transponder identifier of the lost transponder. How do I invalidate it?

As transponders only become invalid when a more recent copy is presented at the terminal, there is unfortunately no way to invalidate the transponder in this case. We recommend that you check the personnel list more thoroughly and, if necessary, compare it with the other keys in circulation.
