DG2 - Terminal Firmware-Update

Important! You can obtain the appropriate firmware from our support team. Please only perform a firmware update if expressly instructed to do so by our support team.

  1. Connect the MDU to a computer and transfer the firmware file to the following folder: MDU/boot/terminalUpdate
  2. Disconnect the MDU from the computer and go to the affected terminal.
  3. On the MDU, select “Terminal” > “Firmware update” and select the firmware update you transferred earlier. It should have the same name as the file itself in the list.
  4. After making your selection, approach the terminal to start the update.
  5. The message “Authorize at terminal” will appear on the display. Then hold your privileged key to the terminal.
  6. Then hold the MDU to the terminal again to continue the transfer.
  7. Regardless of whether you receive an error message, check the firmware version in “Terminal Info” after the transfer.
  8. If this now corresponds to the current firmware, the update is complete.
You must then program the terminal again via Terminal Sync. Since the terminal was reset during the update, no authorization is required for this.
