DG1 - Check and set the time

One of the most common issues related to non-functioning guest cards is an incorrect terminal time. This often occurs when batteries in room door locks have been changed or after a power outage, causing the wall reader (e.g., at the entrance door) to no longer recognize the cards.
To check and set the time yourself, please follow the instructions below:

You will need: MDU100, configuration transponder Beam 05, and a privileged staff transponder (e.g., the master card of the manager or maintenance technician).

1. Check the time and date on the MDU (handheld device):
“Main Menu” > “MDU Functions” > “MDU Clock”

2. Briefly hold the configuration transponder (Beam 05) to the terminal.
(LEDs blink: wait — also known as the four-eyes principle)

3. While the LEDs are blinking, hold the privileged transponder to the terminal.
(LEDs light up steadily: communication mode)

4. On the MDU main menu, select:
“Terminal Functions” > “Info” > “Terminal Clock” and move close to the terminal.

5. The terminal time will be shown on the display.

6. If this time differs from the current time, press the black button on the top left to transfer the MDU time to the terminal and move close to the terminal.
(The terminal will flash briefly and the new terminal time will be shown on the display.)

7. Press the top red cross to exit communication mode.
